CPD Credits2

Help combat the rise of antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections

About This Course

Antibiotics are some of the most commonly prescribed drugs however their use and overuse is associated with significantly increasing antibiotic resistance. This online course will help you tackle the increasing prevalence of antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections. The course covers the principles of antibiotic use and the diagnosis and treatment of common infections.

"We are seeing increasing strains of resistance amongst gram negative baccilli such as E. coli and these strains are now becoming multi-drug resistant with very few treatment options available. The World Health Organisation has stated that antibiotic resistance is a major threat to human health and in the future we may be encountering situations where infections are untreatable."
