Gain essential skills for providing Trainer workshops

This half day interactive workshop, complemented with online tutorials and resources, will help you to develop essential skills for providing Trainer workshops.

Through a series of brief online tutorials, you will become aware of the most common workplace-based assessments used during training as well as an introduction to objective setting, clinical supervision, and effective feedback. You will be able to discuss these tutorials with your workshop participants, providing them with access to these resources for them to use in their practice as a Trainer.

On completion of the course, you will be able to:

• Run a successful Train the Trainer (TTT) programme
• Advise on how to increase participant engagement
• Provide an overview of the importance of the role of the Trainer in postgraduate medical education
• Discuss practical solutions to efficient and effective teaching in increasingly busy clinical environments
• Demonstrate the benefit of various workplace-based assessments that can be used by the Trainer to assess their junior doctor’s learning
• Share insights in how to deliver effective and practical feedback
