This webinar is an opportunity to hear updates on the latest developments in the COVID-19 pandemic including the fourth round of vaccinations in Israel, the latest on the Omicron variant and the role that Antivirals will play going forward.
President Prof Mary Horgan will open the event, welcoming and introducing chairs and speakers.
The webinar will be co-chaired by Prof Horgan and Dean of the Institute of Medicine Prof Anthony O’Regan.
These talks will be followed by a panel discussion and a Q&A session.

Dr Brosh-Nissimov is the head of the Infectious Diseases unit in the Samson Assuta Ashdod University Hospital, Ashdod, Israel, and a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Ben Gurion University in the Negev.
Dr Brosh-Nissimov received his MD at the Tel Aviv University in 1998 and later completed his residencies in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. He has served in the Israeli Defense forces as a medical officer as an expert in CBRN medicine, specializing in biowarfare, bioterrorism and epidemic countermeasures.
Since 2010, Dr Brosh-Nissimov serves as the secretary of the advisory committee on epidemic control in the Israeli Ministry of Health, which has become the professional board for COVID-19 response. In addition, he is a co-chairman of the Advisory board on COVID-19 vaccines and is involved in the Israeli vaccination campaigns.
Dr Fleming graduated from UCD in 1990 and subsequently trained in Infectious Diseases at Boston Medical Centre and received a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University. She was appointed as the first Consultant in Infectious Disease in Galway University Hospital in 2004 and has established a comprehensive clinical service comprising general ID, HIV, sexual health, TB, hepatitis B and most recently COVID. She is the Co-Lead of the Infectious Diseases Clinical Care Program with a focus on COVID diagnosis and management in the past 12 months.

When you click on the link for "Join the Live Webinar" you will see a message asking you to open Zoom. Click on “Open Zoom”.
You will then be asked for your name and email address. Once you’ve entered these details, click on “Join Webinar”.
