The Institute of Medicine is pleased to continue The Acute Medicine Series which will present a monthly webinar discussing topics relevant to the acute physician in specialties across the spectrum of medicine.
Hot Topics in Rheumatology is the sixth webinar in the series.
Presented jointly by the Institute of Medicine and the Irish Society of Rheumatology, this webinar will provide an update for general physicians.
This live webinar is available to Members and Fellows of RCPI, doctors on RCPI training programmes, doctors on RCPI Professional Competence Schemes, all other interested physicians working in medicine, or indeed outside of medicine and members of the Irish Society of Rheumatology.
About this event
Hot Topics in Rheumatology will be broadcast live as a webinar and is an opportunity to hear updates on topics such as GCA, acute mono arthritis/crystals and cytokine storm syndrome.
The event will be co-chaired by Professor Anthony O'Regan, Dean of the Institute of Medicine at RCPI and Prof Geraldine McCarthy, President of Irish Society of Rheumatology.

If you're joining the webinar on a computer you can use the Zoom desktop website. You do not need to download the Zoom app - if you see a pop up message about the app, you can dismiss this.

When you click on the link for "Join the Live Webinar" you will see a message asking you to open Zoom. Click on “Open Zoom”.
You will then be asked for your name and email address. Once you’ve entered these details, click on “Join Webinar”.

When you open the Zoom app click on “Join a Meeting”. You will need to enter the meeting ID number. The ID number for this week's event will be sent to you via email beforehand.
