The Faculty of Paediatrics is delighted to present another instalment of its webinar series which will be an update in Neurodisability and Neurology.
This virtual event is aimed at health care professionals working in a wide variety of areas in medicine, but especially those interested in Paediatrics/Neonatology and Neurology.
This event is a benefit of your Membership and Fellowship and is FREE for RCPI Trainees, Members and Fellows who are in good standing. There is a €50.00 fee for all other attendees.
Dr Khan recently joined Cork University Hospital as Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in community child health and is a Senior Clinical Lectuer in UCC. He has previously worked as a Consultant Paediatrician and clinical director in Southern Healthcare NHS Trust for 12 years.
He received his Specialist Paediatric training at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. and is a Fellow of Faculty of Paediatrics at RCPI as well as a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (RCPCH).
Passionate about quality improvement, patient safety and innovation, he is a member of Health foundation, UK and a Human Factors trainer. More recently he has developed an interest in Quality improvement through digital health and developed a Smart device App for paediatrics previously. He is currently doing a distance learning course in Artificial Intelligence in Health Care from University of Manchester.
Dr Niamh Mc Sweeney is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist in Cork University Hospital and also provides a consult service to the NICU in the Cork University Maternity Hospital since 2012.
A graduate of University College Cork, Dr McSweeney did her postgraduate training in General Paediatrics in Cork, Dublin and Drogheda, and in Paediatric Neurology in Dublin and London.
Her special Interests include General Neurology, Neuromuscular disorders, Movement disorders, Neonatal Neurology, Epilepsy, Neurocutaneous disorders, Neuroinflammation, and Stroke.
She also has a keen interest in Quality improvement within the Paediatric department in CUH and had been chair of the Quality Committee for five years until 2022 and remains the Paediatric representative on the Executive Quality and Safety Committee in CUH.
Dr Zaheera Yusuf is a Consultant in Paediatric Neurodisability at Cork University Hospital. She graduated from University College Cork and trained in Ireland, before completing subspecialty training in the North West, United Kingdom. She has a MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a Postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability from Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine from Cardiff University.

To join this webinar on Zoom you will need a computer (Windows or Apple) or mobile device with internet access and speakers.
If you're joining the webinar on a computer you can use the Zoom desktop website. You do not need to download the Zoom app - if you see a pop up message about the app, you can dismiss this.
The Zoom website functions best on Google Chrome.
When you click on the link for "Join the Live Webinar" you will see a message asking you to open Zoom. Click on “Open Zoom”.
You will then be asked for your name and email address. Once you’ve entered these details, click on “Join Webinar”.
