About This Course

This course is designed to follow our Basic Skills in Endoscopy course.

This one-day course is an introduction to the practical aspects of colonoscopy designed for medical and surgical trainees. It incorporates practical teaching followed by a round-table question-and-answer session led by senior clinicians in the field. This course is delivered in a large endoscopy teaching unit.

• Understand endoscope features and ergonomics

• Improve scope handling, torque and patient positioning to aid caecal intubation

• Identify, prevent and resolve loops

• Improve polyp detection
