Overview

This blended learning course contains self-paced online learning material and an interactive workshop. The course covers motor disorders, autism, intellectual disability, and sensory issues including visual or hearing impairment and speech and language delays. 

You will learn how to identify common developmental abnormalities and how to develop assessment, management, and referral strategies to deal with these presentations in clinical practice.

The one-day interactive workshop promotes active learning and discussions using theoretical frameworks, case studies, and videos.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course you will be able to:

• • Identify commonly occurring developmental abnormalities in children
• • Develop assessment and management strategies for these children
• • Discuss the impact of developmental disorders on the family
• • Identify referral pathways.
