What to Expect

This collaborative learning programme includes five learning sessions (3 in person, 2 virtual) and two virtual coaching sessions over 7 months, with 28 CPD awarded for course completion. All team members must attend all sessions.

Sessions are interactive and dynamic, facilitated by QI faculty with subject matter experts and will involve planned and coordinated pre-session exploratory learning (of approximately 2 hours) in addition to project work.

Teams will be encouraged to support and connect with one another and submit small project-based homework items (e.g. SMART project aim, driver diagram, PDSA testing cycles) online between sessions. There will be limited individual components to the course work, primarily focused on personal leadership capacity and growth. Developmental feedback will be provided on all submitted homework.

Each team is required to carry out a quality improvement project in the workplace. Expected outputs by the end of the course will typically include a short project abstract, digital and printed poster and a team project video.
