About this course
Master the art of laparoscopic gynaecological surgery
This is a practical, hands-on, one-day course covering essential aspects of laparoscopic gynaecological surgery, including the management of complications associated with viscera and vasculature.
We will help you develop a better understanding of the anatomical relationships within the pelvis. You will learn how to manage common problems encountered in surgery, such as patients with previous surgery, known adhesions and significant obesity. You will learn about potential complications that can arise from laparoscopic surgery and how best to prevent and manage them.
The emerging disciplines of surgical ergonomics and human factors as they relate to surgery will also be covered.
This course covers scenarios that you might encounter in an emergency situation in labour wards.
